This week Disney has come out with major updates to our beloved princess Rapunzel, as they've announced a new movie starring an expansion to the Tangled family. Knotted is set to release this Friday, and will feature music composed by Rebecca Sugar (who has also worked on projects such as Steven Universe and Adventure Time). Sugar has written a score that she claims is “sure to resonate deeply with those who just haven’t got it all figured out yet.” This classic story is a coming of age tale, featuring a girl with too much freedom and her journey into adulthood. Follow Ruby as she learns the ups and downs of royalty and how to detangle the messes she gets into. The movie is daring and bold for Disney (just like our princess) tackling themes of heavy expectations weighing someone down, and is sure to be comforting and relatable to all audiences.

 

To accompany the movie, hardcore Disney fans will be excited to hear of a new attraction coming to Disney World, rumored to be a sing along tunnel experience safe for children and expecting mothers. Featuring iconic songs from both Tangled and Knotted as well as an opportunity to greet and chat with Rapunzel and her daughter Sunny, as well seeing special appearances from Flynn. Park visitors will also be excited to note a sneak-peek premiere happening right in the park!

 

The movie is set to release this Friday, October 16th, in all theatres and promotional items like hair combs and accessories will be provided upon purchase of popcorn. This promotion will only be lasting the first 3 days of showings so collectors will need to be quick if they want a chance to snag a princess brush.
