So... Tell Me About Yourself!
Hey there! I'm a Communication Specialist and Print Media Consultant specializing in Copy Writing and Editing.
Throughout my life, words have been one of the most important things to me. I grew up a devoted reader, and began writing short stories and poems when I was 12. When I later graduated high school, I dedicated my degree path to Communication (specifically studying Strategic Communication with a minor in Rhetoric and Writing). Now, as a "big girl" Ive decided that my life will continue to center on words, but now how we use. I've also made a living as a server, barista, bartender, and host at several food industries developing my professional communication and conversation skills. I got my footing in responsibility and corporate outreach from White Rhino where we volunteer with multiple out reach programs, such as OurCalling, to give back to our community. I was 18 when I started and the youngest person in our company before working my way up to management by showcasing how I lead with confidence and empathy for others.

In my time in Academia, Ive prioritized getting involved with my school and have been founder and chair of two still active clubs. I founded Creative Intersections in High School to promote positive associations with writing and creativity. We gave out over 200 free books and led multiple events free for students to have fun. I also re-instated the Black Student Union at DBU (a historic PWI), and led as President. In leadership I was responsible for the organization and hosting several social gatherings per semester. During my time at DBU, my team and I reached out to local churches and African American History museums to provide an educational resource and safe third space for Black and Non-Black students on and off campus.

I love expressing myself creatively and spend a lot of my free time painting, reading, or writing. My hair is almost always a different color and I tend to doodle on everything I own. I also love thrifting with my friends. I love finding unique vintage pieces to style and it makes me feel good to know I'm doing something good for the environment. We also love to park our cars Downtown and take a walk through Dallas, seeing what there is to do. I love spending time with my family and like to keep myself active with trips to the gym or the lake (if weather permits).
